I like seeing cars covered up. Not because I love cars or that I want to see them protected. I think it is the loving gesture that I am interested in. There is a gentleness in the act of draping a cover over a car, like tucking in a loved one when they fall asleep on the couch.

Caring isn’t necessarily something you can photograph as it is a feeling. How to represent a feeling is a major part of art’s purpose. To create some-thing that feels like what it is like to be you. It is thought that perhaps art is one of the only ways we can study conciousness. Art is a raw though curated representation of someones interests, thoughts, ideas and feelings.

Art can be an incredibly insightful look into a persons mind. In turn this can give a viewer, listener, reader, participant in/ of the art, a perspective we may connect with. It can strike a chord with us, it may change us, it may repel us. Art lets us have a look behind the curtain of another’s mind. Art however is a two way street, our response may be seen as a reflection of our own values and thoughts. This at times can feel confronting and at other times when it resonates truly, border on the sublime.
